WeatherLive v2.0 is now available For Windows
The other day we gave you a sneak peak at the all-new WeatherLive 2.0. The app received a nice little overhaul, adding new features, more customizations and push notifications for weather alerts.
We've been using it all week and appreciate that the app is still as "lite" as before with no loss in speed. In addition, seeing as we're getting some severe weather here in the Northeast, the toast notifications detailing weather alerts have worked every single time (on a Mango device).
As before, there's a free, ad-supported version (aka endless trial) or the paid version which is ad-free and has the push notifications. We think the app is great, but we'll let you decide for yourselves. Pick it up here in the Marketplace for $1.49.

New logo unveiled Windows Mobile 7
What many have suspected is true now. With the introduction of Windows Mobile 7.5 Mango, there will be a new logo. Currently, Microsoft is preparing the world for several events against new devices that will be presented from September to October. The Redmond, the Windows Mobile logo into a round square logo have changed, the more reminiscent of the tiles of Windows Phone 7. Originally, the new logo during a VIP event was presented this year.
Shinobu Takahashi (Microsoft employees) showed the new logo the end of July in a blog post. Since the second Developer Beta (Build 7712) is the new logo already seen as the boot screen and will likely be used with the introduction of new devices in September as a new logo.
What do you think the new logo? In my opinion it is better placed in the Windows Mobile 7 world, but by design not as nice as the round. Source via
Windows Mobile developers need to customize their apps to Windows Mobile 7.5
As is always the case, you have to be carried out after an update, or adjust some things. That’s not even in Windows Mobile is different and so Microsoft has posted a blog entry, a detailed explanation. It says that the developers who have developed their apps for Windows Mobile Nodo need to adapt this new update to the “Mango”. If that does not happen, the apps that are not compatible with Windows Mobile 7.5 is frozen.
This is of course a lot of work for the developers and hobbyist developers do not always have time for it and therefore it is expected that implementation will take some time. For us normal consumers this means so much that when our Windows phones get the new update “Mango”, then we will see, not all apps in the Marketplace, but only if the developers have conducted this adjustment. Who needs more information can be read through the article in the source.
